Automatic Failure Detector

The AFDS2 supervises main and standby power amplifiers. A drop of as little as 2dB in the output level of either amplifier causes an LED to illuminate and an alert tone to sound. Simultaneously, the AFDS2 automatically transfers operation to the standby amplifier, with no perceptible loss of signal. Once the trouble is corrected, operation is restored to the main amplifier.

The AFDS2 operates with 25V or 70V systems, balanced or unbalanced, on 120VAC/60Hz or 12VDC. The rack mounting unit (uses 2 spaces) measures 19"W x 7-½"D x 3½"H. Shipping weight: 8 lbs.
