The FAP40T is the newest member of Atlas Sound Strategy II Series family of ceiling speaker products. Designed to provide high performance in a very compact footprint, the FAP40T appeals to both system designers and architects.

A unique (patent pending) tap selector switch design allows for easy system tuning. A full selection of taps up to 16 watts as well as an 8 ohm bypass setting is included for maximum system versatility. This switch also functions as a diffuser cone, providing smooth, even dispersion of the high frequency content from the center of the 4" driver. In fact, the high frequency response of the FAP40T is so natural that many would assume that the driver in the FAP40T was a coaxial design instead of a cone driver.

Low frequency response is enhanced by the tuned and ported enclosure design. The UL listed (UL1480) enclosure is constructed of high impact injection molded plastic and includes a press fit grille design that blends quite well with contemporary architecture. A tile bridge is included for suspended ceiling applications. The light-weight design of the FAP40T, coupled with the "dog leg" mounting system allows the FAP40T to mount into most drywall ceilings without the need for a separate mounting ring.

Barrier strip connection allows for easy system wiring as well as "daisy chain" wiring to other FAP40T's or even FASUB70 subwoofers (a great combination!).

Premium Construction Provides Premium Performance

The high quality construction of the FA series driver utilized in the FAP62T will provide familiar performance.

All Strategy Series II drivers feature a weather/UV resistant polypropylene cone with butyl rubber surround coupled with a 19mm PEI tweeter. Crossover components are of the highest quality providing a smooth transition between the driver components insuring even frequency response and coverage.

Atlas Sound's FAP82T is perfectly suited for many business music and public address applications - especially applications where high ceilings require loudspeakers with increased efficiency and tighter pattern control. The 8" coaxial speaker system features extended low frequency rivaling that of many subwoofers.

Installations into drop tile acoustic ceilings are made easy with the C-Ring/V-Rail Mounting System. In "blind mount" instances the V shaped rail system simplifies the process of locating mounting hardware above the deck. For existing construction drywall applications simply cut the mounting hole and "corkscrew" the C-ring into the hole allowing the "dog leg" mounting system to engage the metal ring for additional support.

With the FAP82T, Atlas Sound has addressed pendant mounting for open plenum ceiling applications. An eyebolt assembly is included with the package allowing suspension of the FAP82T with load rated cable or "all thread". The enclosure is finished white to match the bezel ring for better blend in open ceiling applications. Please note that the enclosure/ bezel ring may also be painted to accommodate custom finishes when required.

The FAPSUB adds impressive low frequency response to any full range distributed system

The FAPSUB consists of a highly efficient 8", 8 ohm subwoofer designed and built by Atlas Sound to work optimality in the FAPSUB enclosure system. A highly efficient, 3-pole filtering network eliminates unwanted high frequencies from the woofer, while the 937 cubic inch, tuned and ported, deep drawn steel enclosure provides bass response down to 45Hz (±10dB).

A special low saturation 70.7V/100V transformer is included with 1.9, 3.8, 7.5, 15, 30 and 60 watt primary taps (@70.7V) to match and balance the subwoofer with full range speakers without the need for separate amplification. A convenient front mounted selector switch allows tap selection without the need to remove the speaker from the ceiling. This tap selector switch also includes a transformer bypass setting for 8 ohm direct coupled applications.

Use surface-mount Atlas Sound SM42T Series loudspeaker systems for commercial, professional and residential applications or where high-fidelity sound and weather-resistance is desired. The Next Generation

Environment-resistant SM Series loudspeaker systems offer quality sound reproduction and contemporary styling in a compact enclosure. System components consist of a highly efficient woofer section and Ferrofluid™ cooled mylar film high frequency device. Vocal and musical clarity is optimized by the mathematically conceived, advanced design of the Atlas Sound TRX Control WaveGuide™ high frequency director. This design provides smooth, even sound coverage (90°H x 90°V). The high frequency section is symmetrical, for equal coverage in both vertical and horizontal cabinet mounting positions. High frequency component protection is provided by the Atlas Sound Poly Guard™ protection circuit. Both drivers feature low-flux- leakage designs enabling the speaker to be used in close proximity to video monitors. For critical video monitoring applications, a minimum distance of 18 inches from the edge of the loudspeaker to the edge of the CRT is recommended. The SM42T includes an internally mounted, 16 Watt 70.7V/100V line matching transformer with screwdriver adjustable external tap selection for use in distributed sound applications.

To with stand the harshest environments, the new Strategy Series SM42T surface mount loudspeakers are constructed of weather resistant materials: UV-resistant, talc impregnated, polypropylene injection molded cabinets; Polypropylene woofer cones; powder coated aluminum grilles and all brass hardware. The Strategy Series speaker systems include a versatile yet simple C-bracket designed to provide easy vertical or horizontal installation on just about any surface. Care should be taken to ensure that the chosen mounting surface is strong enough to support the SM42T. Care should also be taken to ensure that the SM42T is not exposed to direct precipitation. A 5/8"-27 threaded hole is provided on the C-bracket to allow the SM series speaker to be mounted on any Atlas Sound microphone stand for near- field live sound applications. 2-3/8" OC brass inserts are also provided on the rear of the SM42T to accommodate the Atlas Sound SMBALLMOUNT bracket or OMNIMOUNT™ 10 series brackets. All inserts for mounting knobs are standard 1/4"-20 to allow easy substitution of standard "off the shelf" vandal proof torx head or "one-way" hardware. Input connectors include a sealed 2-pole terminal strip capable of accepting up to (2) #14AWG wires. 2, 4, 8, and 16 watt taps are screwdriver selectable via a sealed switch located near the input section on the rear of the cabinet. Internal transformer may also be bypassed for 8-ohm operation via tap selector switch. A flush cover with wire exit hole is provided to insure input connections and tap selector switch are protected. Systems are available in Black or White finishes and can be painted to accommodate any architectural considerations.
