The Cat. No. 3803-DHP is designed to provide transient voltage surge suppression for programmable logic devices and other computer-related data network products operating on "Blue Hose" networks. The Cat. No. 3803-DHP Surge Protective Device (SPD) is compatible with Allen Bradley DH, DH+, and Remote I/O networks that are typically connected using Belden cable No. 9463, 9184, Allen Bradley 1770-CD or equivalents (DH and DH+ are trademarks of the Allen Bradley Corporation). This SPD provides low clamping voltages and the ability to withstand high transient current surges that may be encountered by programmable logic devices operating in harsh electro-magnetic environments or geographic areas where there is exposure to the effects of lightning strikes.

No. 3420-009 shall be used in control loops operating at 9 Volts C, maximum, and Cat. No. 3420-035 shall be used in systems operating at 35 Volts DC, maximum. The device's interface connections are made via the SPD's unsealed 4-pin screw connectors. It provides low clamping voltages and the ability to withstand high transient current surges that may be encountered by sensitive electronic devices operating in harsh electromagnetic environments or in geographic areas where a high probability exists of encountering the damaging effects of lightning induced transients.
